Habit #1: A habit of prayer helps you run the race of being a Jesus follower.
Another one of our core practices for saying yes to Jesus, is sharing our story. That’s why this Sunday we will be hearing some stories from those within our congregation, and how their story inspires our own.

Spending time with others is essential as we follow Jesus. Intentional times of fellowship and relationship building is essential for the phase of middle schoolers. That’s why we offer times like this for middle schoolers to just come hangout, play, maybe eat, and for sure have fun!

One of the ways we say yes to Jesus is by spending time with God. All high schoolers are invited to meet in room 206 Sunday morning at 9 AM as we practice the rhythm of spending time with God.

God created each of us with a set of unique gifts and talents. That’s why one of our core practices as a student ministry is using your gifts. To help put that practice into action, we will be partnering with Markle Health & Rehab just down the street to serve for one hour on Sunday mornings.
Also, we will be coming alongside of the students whose Kingdom Worker card this year was to spend time serving at a nursing home.
High school students can meet us there or if you want to walk/ride together, meet in room 206 at 9 AM!

Relationship Goal #1: Be Selfless, Not Selfish
Spending time with God is central to saying yes to Jesus. We’re starting this semester right with a combined Youth Network Worship Night at MCC from 6-8 PM. This event is for both MIDDLE SCHOOL AND HIGH SCHOOL students.
From 6-7 we’ll be eating (BBQ Food Truck $10/meal), BYOM, playing games, and hanging out in the gym.
Then from 7-8 we’ll move into the worship center for a worship night led by the New Hope Christian Church Worship Team.

Big Idea: The GREAT Commission | Matthew 28:18-20 | Jesus commissions us to reach this world, and he walks in walk in co-mission with us.
From presidents to pop culture, lyrics to lifestyle brands, the playing field is for all!
Meet in the Underground at 7 PM, and everyone who comes will be entered into a drawing for a Frigidaire Mini Personal Fridge.
Then compete as a team against others, with the winning team at the end all receiving a $10 Gift Card.
Dinner (Raisin’ Canes) and dessert (root beer floats) is provided.
If you’re able, cost is $5/student.

Remember all those Llama Bucks you’ve been earning? Well, it’s time to break the llama-bank and spend those crias (what baby llamas are called)!
Our first annual Markle Students Middle School Llama Auction is on Sunday January 12th at 6 PM. Get dropped off in the Underground and follow the llama tracks.
If you don’t have any llama bucks or want to bring a friend, everyone who shows up will earn $1000 free llama bucks just for being there.
Use these to bid on items like a llama plushie, almost 4 pounds of sour straws, discounts on events, DQ Blizzards, and raffle items like a Ripstick or Nintendo Switch!
